The Ready 2 Race karting team emerged triumphant in the ROK 125 race held yesterday in the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas. The karters in the ROK grid composed of the ROK Sr., ROK Jr., and ROK Novice Classes kept the audience on their feet with a nerve-wracking final heat. No one would dare blink when leads were changing in almost every lap and sometimes even twice in a lap. The winner was only determined in the final corner of the last lap.
Congratulations Enzo for being the most improved driver during the 3rd day of the 2010 Karting Camp. He improved by 10 s from 55.8 s to 45.2 s. Congratulations also to Alli who won the mock race. Best time for the Karting Camp was set on Day 2 by Emiliano at 39.5 s.

RACE UPDATES
The Ready 2 Race karting team emerged triumphant
Roby Benito of Ready 2 Race, supported by the Tuason Racing School, Bonfacio High Street, Magic 89.9, Stoked Inc. and the Active Group, wrapped up the race in 12mins and 51.917secs with teammate Juha Turalba only 0.12secs behind followed by Stefano Marcelo of Marcelo Racing a further 0.23secs. Benito bagged both the ROK Jr. and ROK Overall crowns and Turalba took home the ROK Sr. crown plus the 1st Runner-Up trophy in the ROK Overall Class. "It was the toughest race of my life." according to Benito, a 15 yr. old sophomore in De La Salle Zobel.
He started the heat in 2nd place and Turalba in 3rd place. Benito and Marcelo broke away from the pack early in the race, but after only a few laps, Reyes found extra energy to catch up with the 2 and overtake both of them, prompting the audience to stand up due to the excitement. The lead then kept changing between the 3 of them, letting the 2nd pack of karters gain on them. After a few more laps, Turalba, Carcel and Benitez caught up with them, making it a 6-way battle for the lead. The cheering of the audience got louder and louder with every overtaking maneuver. Benito was able to get back in front and led until 3 corners before the finish line when Marcelo made a fantastic move at the chicane. Benito then put on the pressure on Marcelo and took advantage of a mistake by the latter in the final turn to wrest back the lead with Turalba following closely behind. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful day, started by Basti Escalante and Joseph Tumambing, who took the 1st Runner-Up and 4th Runner-Up trophies in the Mini ROK class and CJ Tsui who finished 2nd Runner-Up in the Formula SL Novice class.
"We didn't expect to win. Both our drivers were having problems until this morning. We're very happy with the result and are very proud of Roby and Juha. We also congratulate Basti, Joseph and CJ for their efforts.", said team manager, Chito Benito.

Congratulations to the participants in its Karting Camp on 8 May 2010 in Boomland for improving their lap times by 1 to 6 secs. Bob was the most improved driver setting his fastest lap time of 42.7s in a cadet kart. Batu set the fastest lap time of 40.2s in a big kart while Yanboy set the fastest lap time of 40.5s in a cadet kart.
